Blank Space Productions works on a founding principle of transformation. The act & experience of transformation lies at the heart of why we take on certain projects; it defines both the evolution of our practice, the ways we seek to transform & inspire both our audiences & society. 

 

Founded by Cohan in 2016, BSP has never been afraid to follow through on big ideas. Our inaugural work was a 10-show season of immersive theatre called EDGE. Taking place over a period of 10 weeks EDGE engaged audiences in the process of making theatre using interactive forms of storytelling, symbology, sound, & lighting. 10 writers, 21 performers & hundreds of active participants came together to create theatre: live, raw & the way they wanted to see it. Our following production Sudden Skies sold out at FRINGE WORLD 2018. It is a metaphoric physical theatre piece exploring what it means to protect a border or ask for refuge. Unbound in 2021 saw us weave a compelling new tale from Shakespeare’s canon where female characters take centre stage.
